Procedure and Fees
Nyle Gordon begins each portrait with an initial client meeting. This can be done in person or by phone.
During this meeting, details regarding the pose, clothing, color scheme, background and size are discussed.
The artist would then schedule a photography session normally lasting about an hour. Afterwards,
the client and artist together select the best reference photos to work from. Upon completion of the portrait
in the artist’s studio, the client approves the final work by either an 8X10 photo or in person at the artist’s studio.
The portrait is then shipped or delivered to the client.
Informal color sketch ………300- $ 750 ( oil on canvas board )
This is a very spontaneous “color sketch” usually done from “life” in one sitting.
This informal approach is normally completed in only one or two hours.
Formal portraiture ( oil on stretched canvas )
Head and shoulders ……………………………......1500- $ 2500.
1/2 length ………………………………………….2000 - $ 3000.
3/4 length ………………………………………….2500 - $ 3500.
Full length ….…………………………………….....3000- $ 5000.
Double portrait …………………………………......5000 - $ 7000.
* 50% deposit and balance due on completion of the portrait.
* Shipping and framing are not included.
